Before Xmas I was interviewed and photographed for an article to appear in our local daily newspaper, the DomPost. Since it appeared last Tuesday I’ve had lots of enquiries and bookings, and the hits on this website rocketed. My challenge now is to keep the momentum going – which means I have to get to grips with Facebook and perhaps other social networks too. I’m of an age where technology is both a joy and burden – I love the opportunities it provides but really struggle to get to grips with anything less than obvious. My generation doesn’t work on the “it’s intuitive so you don’t need instructions” basis. And Facebook is currently a mystery, even though I have set up a page – search for “Karori Cemetery Tour”.
Anyway, this note is to thank Liam for writing a good piece about the walk, Kent for the photo, and the DomPost for publishing it. Also our friend Sue who helped to write the media release in the first place. The walk passes the grave of John Blundell and his family, son of Henry Blundell who published the first issue of the Evening Post in February 1865, which became the DomPost many years later.
