Spotted this inscription in Gum Gully this evening and thought it most appropriate:
A Mother, loving, gentle, kind
A wife more tender wise and good
Oh, nowhere do I hope to find
A nobler type of womanhood
Her light in lowly splendour shone
Unheeded all by strangers’ eyes
Her richest gifts were laid upon
The altar of self-sacrifice
A Mother, loving, gentle, kind
A wife more tender wise and good
Oh, nowhere do I hope to find
A nobler type of womanhood
Her light in lowly splendour shone
Unheeded all by strangers’ eyes
Her richest gifts were laid upon
The altar of self-sacrifice
